Treatment
Blepharoplasty
Brighter eyes. A more youthful, alert appearance.
Overview
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is one of the most transformative cosmetic procedures available. It removes excess skin, fat, and muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids to correct drooping lids, under-eye bags, and puffiness — restoring a brighter, more youthful, and alert appearance. It can also improve vision impaired by severely drooping upper lids.
How It Works
Upper blepharoplasty involves an incision along the natural eyelid crease to remove excess skin and fat. Lower blepharoplasty addresses under-eye bags through an incision just below the lower lash line or inside the eyelid (transconjunctival). Both procedures are performed under local anesthesia with sedation and take 1–2 hours.
What to Expect
A detailed consultation assesses your eyelid anatomy, skin laxity, and goals. Surgery is performed in our accredited facility under local anesthesia with sedation. Most patients go home the same day. Sutures are removed in 5–7 days.
Recovery
Swelling and bruising for 1–2 weeks. Most patients return to work in 7–10 days. Avoid strenuous activity for 2–3 weeks. Final results visible at 4–6 weeks.
