Thread Lift

Non-surgical lifting with immediate, natural-looking results

Overview

A PDO (polydioxanone) thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that lifts and tightens sagging facial tissue using dissolvable sutures. Threads are inserted under the skin and used to mechanically lift drooping tissue while simultaneously stimulating collagen production. The result is an immediate lift that continues to improve as collagen builds over 3–6 months.

How It Works

Fine PDO threads are inserted through tiny entry points using a thin needle or cannula. Barbed threads grip the tissue and are gently pulled to lift the skin. The threads dissolve naturally over 6–8 months, but the collagen they stimulate persists for 12–18 months. The procedure takes 30–60 minutes under local anesthesia.

What to Expect

Consultation includes assessment of facial laxity and a discussion of realistic expectations. Thread lifts provide a subtle to moderate lift — ideal for early to moderate sagging. Entry points are numbed with local anesthesia before treatment.

Recovery

Mild swelling, bruising, and dimpling at entry points resolve within 1–2 weeks. Avoid strenuous exercise and facial massage for 2 weeks. Most patients return to normal activities within 1–2 days.
