Facial Fat Transfer
Natural volume restoration with your own fat
Overview
Facial fat transfer (fat grafting) is a surgical procedure that uses your own body fat to restore volume, contour, and youthfulness to the face. Fat is harvested from a donor site (typically the abdomen or thighs), purified, and carefully injected into areas of the face that have lost volume with age — providing long-lasting, completely natural results.
How It Works
The procedure involves three steps: liposuction to harvest fat from a donor area, centrifugation to purify the fat cells, and precise micro-injection into the face. Because your own tissue is used, there is no risk of allergic reaction. A portion of the transferred fat integrates permanently with surrounding tissue.
What to Expect
Performed under local anesthesia with sedation. The procedure takes 2–3 hours. Expect swelling and bruising for 1–2 weeks. Final results are visible at 3–6 months as transferred fat settles and integrates. Typically 50–70% of transferred fat survives long-term.
Recovery
1–2 weeks of swelling and bruising. Most patients return to work in 7–10 days. Avoid strenuous activity for 2–3 weeks. Final results visible at 3–6 months.
