Treatment
Gynecomastia
Restore a masculine chest contour with confidence
Overview
Gynecomastia surgery reduces enlarged male breast tissue — a condition affecting up to 65% of men at some point in their lives. Whether caused by hormonal changes, medications, or genetics, enlarged male breasts can cause significant self-consciousness. Surgery removes excess glandular tissue and fat to restore a flat, masculine chest contour.
How It Works
Treatment depends on the composition of the enlarged tissue. Excess fat is removed with liposuction through small incisions. Glandular tissue is excised through a small periareolar incision. Most cases require a combination of both techniques. The procedure takes 1–2 hours under general anesthesia or IV sedation.
What to Expect
Consultation includes assessment of breast tissue composition (glandular vs. fatty), skin laxity, and overall health. Underlying hormonal causes are discussed and addressed if needed. Surgery is performed at an accredited facility.
Recovery
Return to light activity within 1 week. A compression vest is worn for 4–6 weeks. Strenuous exercise is restricted for 4–6 weeks. Final results visible at 3–6 months as swelling fully resolves.
