How It Works
Incisions are carefully placed along the hairline and natural contours of the ear to remain virtually invisible. The underlying SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer is lifted and repositioned — not just the skin — for results that last and look natural. Excess skin is trimmed and the incisions are closed with fine sutures. The procedure typically takes 3–5 hours under general anesthesia or IV sedation.
What to Expect
Your consultation includes a thorough facial analysis, review of your medical history, and a detailed discussion of your goals. Pre-operative photos are taken and a personalized surgical plan is created. Surgery is performed at an accredited facility. You will need a responsible adult to drive you home and assist for the first 24–48 hours.
Recovery
Most patients return to light activity within 2 weeks and social activities within 3–4 weeks. Swelling and bruising peak in the first week and gradually resolve. Final results are visible at 3–6 months as residual swelling fully subsides.
