Laser Resurfacing
Advanced laser technology for dramatic skin renewal
Overview
Laser resurfacing uses focused laser energy to remove damaged outer skin layers and stimulate deep collagen remodeling — delivering significant improvement in skin texture, tone, wrinkles, and scars. Fractional laser technology allows precise treatment with faster recovery than traditional ablative lasers, making it one of the most powerful skin rejuvenation tools available.
How It Works
Fractional laser energy creates thousands of microscopic treatment zones in the skin, leaving surrounding tissue intact to accelerate healing. Ablative lasers (CO2, Er:YAG) vaporize the outer skin layer for more dramatic resurfacing. Non-ablative lasers heat the dermis without removing the surface, with less downtime. Treatment takes 30–90 minutes depending on the area and laser type.
What to Expect
Consultation includes skin analysis and selection of the appropriate laser type and settings. A topical numbing cream or local anesthesia is applied before treatment. Post-treatment care instructions are provided, including wound care and strict sun avoidance.
Recovery
Non-ablative: redness for 1–3 days, no downtime. Fractional ablative: redness, swelling, and peeling for 5–10 days. Full ablative: 1–2 weeks of significant recovery. New skin is pink and sensitive for several weeks. SPF is essential.
